Don't you think it was sacrilege to host a soccer game on Fenway Park like it happened yesterday?

Yesterday it was played a soccer game between the Glasgow Celtic and the Sporting of Lisbon. Even tough I'm not a Red Sox fan I'm pretty mad with this. I just can't find any powerful reason to allow hosting any games of inferior sports (like soccer) in such sacred american venues like Fenway Park. What's next? Mexican soccer exhibitions at Yankee Stadium? Bullfighting at Dodger Stadium? fight at Cowbow stadium? I'm sure all of you soccer fans wouldn't like to see Baseball to be played on Home Depot Center or in Aztec Stadium.
