The Hall releases the writers ballot -- any honorees among the ballot rookies?

Most will not make a second year. Bagwell has the best shot, but I don't think it will be this year. Alomar and Blyleven will be voted in and it's been ages since AA enshrined three in the same year. Palmeiro as you say has PED issues and I expect his vote totals to be in the same range as McGwire, say 15-20%. He'll hang around the ballot for a while, but never get in. Walker is the best of the rest, but his chances are borderline at best considering how much of his career was spent in Denver.
